The El Segundo Fire Department has cancelled all Fire Department community outreach events until further notice. The action is taken as a precaution to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. The City of El Segundo continues to cooperate with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, the Centers for Disease Control and the El Segundo Unified School District to respond to the spread of the novel coronavirus in Los Angeles County. Various pills and on a tableThe Food and Drug Administration (FDA) provides the most current information on prescription drug disposal.

The El Segundo Fire Department does not take back any medicine or medical waste. However, The El Segundo Police Department participates in the FDA sponsored National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. Please visit the National Prescription Drug Take Back Day site for more information.
